Explore Your Life Path with Numerology

Numerology is a metaphysical science that has been in practice for around 2500 years.  It is based on the concept that all things have a unique vibrational energy attached to them, which resonates according to various number patterns and sequences.   Understanding the number vibrations associated with your name and birth date can help guide you along your karmic life path.

Working out the numerology for your name and life path is quick and easy, and often quite insightful.  When examining the numerology of your name, you should keep in mind the following:

* Your first name describes your conscious & physical capacity
* Your middle name describes your emotional tendencies – if you have more than one middle name, add all the middle names together.
* Your last name describes your spiritual/subconscious journey.

Every letter in the alphabet resonates with a particular number.  To discover the numerology of your name, have a look at the Number Associations table below and substitute the letters for their corresponding numbers.  Then add all the numbers in each name.  If the resulting number has two digits, (other than the Master Numbers 11, 22 or 33 which you keep as they are), then you add the digits within that number, until you get a number from 1-9.

For example, if your first name is Jemima, then you would add 1+5+4+9+4+1 = 24 (2+4 = 6).  You would then look up number 6 in the Number Definitions below to see how this number vibration affects your conscious and physical capacity.

YOUR LIFE PATH NUMBER

This number describes your personal skills and the driving force behind your words, thoughts and actions.  You can determine your Life Path number by adding all the digits in your birth date.  For example, if you were born on the 13th March, 2001, then you would add 1+3+3+2+1 = 10 (1+0 = 1).  Your life Path number would be 1, and you can read more about the 1 vibration in the number definitions below.  *Remember to use all the digits in your birth year (eg use 1972, not just ‘72).

NUMBER DEFINITIONS

1: INDEPENDENCE/SELF RELIANCE.   Your path reflects that of the pioneer and independent traveller.  This number vibration indicates the development of an independent spirit, which can at times be a lonely and sometimes isolating journey.  Many people travelling the path of the 1 number vibration begin their journey somehow dependent on others, and then progress through their life experience to becoming independent and self reliant.  The path of independence teaches us determination and key survival skills, which prepare us for the role of leader and key administrator.

2: SENSITIVITY/INTUITION.  The 2 vibration is very sensitive and often displays psychic tendencies.  Your diplomatic nature makes you an excellent negotiator and counsellor.  You are able to see both sides of an argument and can help people build bridges of understanding between each other.   You tend to be very understanding and supportive of family and friends.

3: SELF-EXPRESSION/CREATIVITY.  You possess a wonderfully creative imagination, which has the potential to lead to the formulation of inspiring and uplifting creations and innovative concepts.  You communicate your ideas enthusiastically and with visually descriptive language, which can excite, inspire and enthral the listener.

4: BUILDER/MANUAL DEXTERITY.   Security is very important to you.  You tend to be conservative by nature, and see the world through realistic, practical and dependable eyes.  People naturally rely on you to ‘get the job done’.   Your planning and managerial skills provide the ability to systematically and steadfastly turn ideas and dreams into reality.   You find security in material possessions and will usually seek a career which actively places you in positions of leadership, such as managerial roles, handling projects and finances.

5: FREEDOM/CHANGE.   Freedom of action and speech is very important to you.  Your personal growth ties in very closely with the experience of change.  You will encounter key periods of change, many times in your life. The 5 number vibration reflects the traveller and explorer.  Part of your karmic journey is the understanding that real freedom is a state of mind, not necessarily a state of being.

6: AESTHETIC APPRECIATION/HOME.   Your home is your sanctuary and family is very important to you.  You are a natural nurturer and counsellor, and will most likely possess excellent taste and a sense of style.  People will feel very comfortable and relaxed in your home, as it reflects your personal warmth and understanding.

7: INSPIRATION/SEEKING KNOWLEDGE.  You are a true seeker of knowledge.  You tend to analyze the people and situations around you, always seeking to learn and understand.  Communication is very important to you, and many people with a strong 7 number vibration become involved in an industry specializing in communications (ie performing, teaching, lecturing, entertainment, advertising, journalism etc).   You are often the voice of reason, and have a great deal of wisdom gained through careful study and experience to share with others.

8: POWER/ABUNDANCE.  This number vibration indicates lessons learnt through the handling of power and money.  If you live in a house with the number 8 vibration, you will have a lot of money coming in and going out, and you need to budget carefully and consistently in order to succeed.  Material gain or the desire to obtain material possessions is often associated with this vibration, and it leads ultimately to the karmic lesson of gaining true inner wealth and success through non-material means.

9: COMPASSION/WISDOM.  This is the number of the humanitarian.  By the time we reach the 9 number vibration, we have journeyed through the other key karmic lessons, and are now ready to embrace the concept of unconditional love.  The act of giving and receiving becomes sacred and universal, and you will most likely display unique healing potential with either your voice, a musical or visual aesthetic that you create, and/or with the sense of touch.

MASTER NUMBERS

11: HUMANITARIAN.  The eleven provides a creative aspect to your practical, hands-on approach.  You have the ability to think creatively and thus formulate unique design concepts and ideas.  You have the ability to bring hope, compassion and/or spiritual understanding to others.  The development of your values, ethics and personal code of integrity is a key karmic criterion in order to prepare you for a journey providing spiritual and emotional support and guidance to others.

22: This Master number incorporates all the attributes of the 2 and 4 combined.  Your organizational ability is a key karmic function as it allows you to then bring inspiration and positive change into the lives of others.  You have a heightened sense of sensitivity and intuition which require careful balancing in order to protect your health.  You are a natural at organising, planning and developing systems and projects.  You are deeply connected with the earth and thus will respond well to the principles of feng shui, which governs your Ti Chai (Earth Luck).

33: HEALER.  Your key leadership qualities encourage you to take on added responsibilities in order to prepare you for your karmic function of bringing healing words and actions to others.
